Salzburg Marionettes

When the world renowned Salzburg Marionette troupe performed THE SOUND OF MUSIC at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art in late 2007, the New York Times cheered, “Remarkable! A delightful surprise from start to finish!” Now, this beloved production has come home to Salzburg, playing at the company’s resident theatre—a resplendent opera house in miniature—in the heart of the City of Music. With beautifully hand-carved Austrian puppets performing to a specially-created soundtrack featuring the voices of such Broadway talents as Christian Noll, Martin Vidnovic and Jonathan Groff, THE SOUND OF MUSIC is currently playing in Salzburg until late September.
