Robert Russell Bennett: The Man Who Gave Broadway Its Sound

R&H's own Director of Music, Bruce Pomahac, recently wrote an article featured in Backstage recognizing the accomplishments of one of Broadways most prolific orchestrators, Robert Russell Bennett. Bennett, who will be the recipient of an Honorary Tony Award on June 15th, was the principal orchestrator for some of the most successful musicals throughout the Golden Age of Broadway, including Show Boat, Oklahoma!, and The Sound of Music.
