HOMECOMING QUEEN: Kelli O'Hara Returns Home to Oklahoma to Star in Summer 2007 Centennial Production

Two time Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara (The Light In The Piazza, THE PAJAMA GAME) will return to her home state of Oklahoma this summer to star as Laurey in the Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma's production of the classic R&H musical. Billed as ""the official state centennial production,"" Lyric Theatre's Oklahoma! will be performed at the Civic Center Music Hall in downtown Oklahoma City in late June.

O'Hara was born in Elk City, Oklahoma, attended high school in Edmond and studied voice with Florence Birdwell at Oklahoma City University (where other famous music theatre alumni include Kristin Chenoweth and Ron Raines). ""Experiencing this show with Kelli as its star will mean so much to Oklahomans, who embrace Oklahoma! as their' musical,"" stated Lyric Theater's artistic director Nick Demos. ""We couldn't ask for a more amazing way to celebrate the Centennial than to have [O'Hara] return to her home state and perform with Lyric."" For more, visit
