OKLAHOMA! to open at Grange Park Opera this summer











In the 75th anniversary year of this classic show, Grange Park Opera presents Rodgers and Hammerstein's OKLAHOMA! accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra for just 8 performances at Theatre In The Woods, West Horsley Place between 7th June - 7th July 2018. 

The cast includes Dex Lee (IN THE HEIGHTS, CARRIE, THE WILD PARTY) as Curly, Katie Hall (PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, WEST SIDE STORY, SWEENEY TODD) as Laurey, Claire Moore (THE GIRLS, THE KING AND I, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA) as Aunt Eller and Phillip Rhodes (SWEENEY TODD, CARMEN, UN BALLO IN MASCHERA) as Jud Fry. Louis Gaunt, Natasha Cottriall and Steven Serlin star respectively as Will Parker, Ado Annie and Ali Hakim. Completing the company are Nicolas Colicos, Lauren Hood and Lee Ormsby

In the rural, open, optimistic heartlands of early 20th century America, it's a beautiful morning, the corn is high as a elephant's eye, and two farm-girls are overwhelmed with offers to escort them to the square-dance. Through a sequence of some of the best-loved songs in Broadway history, the girls discover who they truly want. But in the process, a rejected suitor picks a fight - and almost turns a classic happy-ending into tragedy.
