Rodgers & Hammerstein's CAROUSEL, starring Jessie Mueller, Joshua Henry, and Renée Fleming, Opens on Broadway at the Imperial Theatre!
Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel officially returned to Broadway on April 12th in a new production at the Imperial Theatre. The staging, from Tony® winner Jack O’Brien, celebrated its opening night after beginning previews in February. Carousel, featuring music by Richard Rodgers and a book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, tell the story of millworker Julie Jordan, carousel barker Billy Bigelow, and their ultimately destructive relationship. The classic score includes such numbers as “If I Loved You,” “June Is Bustin’ Out All Over,” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”
