Richard has written the music and lyrics for THE PIRATE PRETENDER, THE WHEELS THAT TURN, ONCE UPON A WAR, THE TONGUE-CUT SPARROW, WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND and FRAMED. Instrumental works for the concert hall include THE JOURNEY TO ASHANTI, ETERNAL ENIGMA and A BAO A QU. Richard has enjoyed performances at Cheltenham, Edinburgh, Buxton, Covent Garden and Perugia Umbria (Italy) festivals, also at the Royal Albert Hall, the Festival Hall, the Royal National Theatre's Cottesloe Theatre and the barn at Beauchamp House, Gloucester, where WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND began its musical life. He has been awarded the silver medal by the Worshipful Company of Musicians and the Theodore Holland Award for British Composers.
